📣 The time has come! I’m going rogue as a freelance designer/researcher.
With over 15 years of experience, you can expect me to deliver on all the stuff ChatGPT comes up with when you ask it to write a job description for a design role.
But here’s a list of areas where I, personally, can add even more value.
✅ Supporting all stakeholders in identifying and building what your users need. As much as it may seem like “IT vs. Business”, I can help to make it feel like “IT, Business and our customers”.
✅ Designing user friendly solutions for your customers’ problems, and i will happily kill my darlings if need be. I don’t test my work to see if it works, I test to see what doesn’t work. So that we can learn and iteratively adapt towards the best possible experience for the customer.
✅ Creating a balanced product roadmap based on insights from your users and wishes you yourself might have. I am aware that you too have wishes for your product and sometimes need an inquisitive person who’s ready to listen and assist.
✅ Leading the entire decision making process from “discovery” all the way through “define, ideate and test”. Without a discovery and define phase, your ideation will take significantly longer due to a lack of a clear problem statement. And as much as i love to jump into ideation, I believe everyone should at least be aware of the risks that need to be accepted before doing so.
